The Decks · In Build

The Art Car.

A rolling, broadcasting, full-tilt extension of the Frick Frack West table — built for Burning Man and the wider playa circuit. The mutant vehicle that brings the game to the people instead of the people to the game.

Currently In Build

From trailer to mutant.

The art car project is in early build — trailer sourced, design phase underway, fabrication beginning summer 2026. Goal is a fully self-contained, off-grid blackjack saloon on wheels: dealer station, sound system, lighting rig, Pirate Radio broadcast deck, and bar — all stacked onto a wagon that can stage anywhere it parks.

Inaugural run targets Burning Man 2026. After that — Lightning in a Bottle, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Sonic Bloom, anywhere a Mutant Vehicle license gets you in.

What It Is

A blackjack saloon that drives itself to your event.

When the build’s complete, the art car becomes a tier all its own — a fully mobile, self-contained installation that can show up at festivals, parades, brand activations, and private events with no setup required beyond parking. The wagon IS the installation.

Two modes:

  • Stationary — parked at a venue or art-camp, table folds out, bar opens, dealers run the game from inside the wagon.
  • Roaming — rolling through a festival or parade, music blasting, Marv-isms over the loudspeaker, pulling in players to play next time it stops.
Why

The deepest version of the FFBJ pitch.

Frick Frack Blackjack started as an installation that takes over a corner of a venue. The art car is the inverse — the venue is wherever the wagon stops. It turns the chapter into something genuinely autonomous: we don’t need a stage, we don’t need power, we don’t need a load-in window. We just need a parking spot.

For Burning Man, that means we can show up in any camp, plaza, deep playa, or open zone — and become the show. For festival circuits, it’s a self-deploying tier that scales effortlessly. For brand activations, it’s a literal vehicle of brand presence.
