Hello from the Western Front.

There’s a new chapter open west of the Rockies. We’ve been quietly building it since Desert Hearts 2025. This is the first dispatch — call it a state-of-the-table address.

This is Frick Frack West, the new Western chapter of Frick Frack Blackjack, run out of Phoenix and connecting all the dots of the various outfits and dealers west of the Rockies. The full pitch is on the rest of the site — if you’re new here, the Philosophy page is a good place to start. The short version: we’re a no-cash, no-trash bartered blackjack experience, the dealer brokers every bet, and you can wager anything except money. That’s the game.

In the months ahead you’re going to see a lot more of us — online, in print, on the airwaves, possibly at a pool party near you. Here’s the rundown of what’s cooking.

The site you’re reading is the new permanent home. Bigger, deeper, more dedicated than what we had — installation catalog, dealer profiles, the FAQ, the Frickin’ Newsletter. Built so anyone can find us and so bookers can answer their own questions before they reach out.

The Shop is about to open. Frickensteins from the Monster Station, dealer-signed decks, one-of-a-kind trinkets pulled from the bet pile and re-listed. We’ll yell here when the shutters go up.

We put in a big pitch for Canal Convergence in Scottsdale this spring — a frontier saloon installation where every surface is a collective canvas. Fingers crossed.

The Rambling Gambler is our mutant vehicle in build right now, targeting a Burning Man 2026 debut. A self-contained blackjack saloon on wheels that drives itself to your event. We’ll be holding a couple of fundraisers in the next few months to push the build over the line — keep an eye out.

Additional offerings are landing through our affiliates: the Human Coloring Book Project and the Tricksters Hand. Both are standalone projects from our extended crew, both with a Frick Frack stamp on them. More on each soon.

On the airwaves.

The thing we’re most excited about right now is Pirate Radio.

Part talk radio. Part music. Part sports commentary. Part carnival barker. Part stream-of-conscience ambient acid trip into the unknown. You never know what might come over the airwaves.

Hosted by Dottie Soldati. We’re recording live on site at events, with an online radio station and a podcast in the works. If you’re at one of our gigs and you see Dottie behind a mic with a busted-up old radio rig — that’s the show. Don’t interrupt the broadcast. Or do. The frequency goes both ways.

Out in the field.

We just blew the lid off Grass Clippings in Tempe — putt-putt-and-blackjack night, big turnout, dealers crushing it.

This weekend it’s EDC in Las Vegas — pop into our IG stories for live shots from the field.

Next up: Lightning in a Bottle, where the wagon’s hauling itself out to the desert for what may be our biggest setup of the season.

And here’s a thing we want to say out loud: you might also find us this summer dealing at a pool party near you. Sometimes the best games happen in a backyard with a pitcher of margaritas, a folding table, and a deck of cards. If you’re throwing one, you know where to find us.

Stay close.

That’s the rundown. There’s more cooking but it’ll come piece by piece in subsequent dispatches.

Subscribe if you haven’t yet — the Frickin’ Newsletter is how you’ll hear about everything first, and it earns you a free piece of Frick at the next event we cross paths at.

See you at the table.
